Jay_Ar,
I answered you here (as these are questions about Modding, it'll be more clear in its own topic :) ) => topic11-32299.php

hsngrms,
0) I guess you're not kept logged in after the 1st connection from activating your account, or something like that

1) It affects your player, when you control him ; try it in warm-up mode : press any strike button before your Junior or Club level opponent strike the ball, and you'll see the Autopositioning making your player moves to the direction of the strike ; set your opponent to Pro or above, and your player won't move anymore, you'll have to release the button and press it after the strike for the auto-positioning to work

Hey @manutoo

1- Now I get it why I didn't understand this change in first place. Because it was never like this for me:
press any strike button before your Junior or Club level opponent strike the ball, and you'll see the Autopositioning making your player moves to the direction of the strike

It was and still is like that:
set your opponent to Pro or above, and your player won't move anymore, you'll have to release the button and press it after the strike for the auto-positioning to work

to me, same against both Beginner 1 and Incredible 10. (Tried all with 3 diff control settings arcade/elite/simulation). My player never moves an inch if I press before opponent strikes, it was always same since I started to play this game. Really weird. :sweat:

hsngrms,
actually, it was depending on the level of the 4th player without the fix.
Did you already update to the latest version now ? Does it work correctly ?

@manutoo

First, a little hint which can help new players when reading your update posts, if you specify the need of holding button after pressed.
- Controls : the auto-positioning trick was working rally even when facing an opponent better than the Junior-10 level ; it is now disabled in that case (the trick is to press and hold any strike button before your opponent moves and then your player will start to move right after your opponent strikes the ball ; it's very useful to return services)

I know it is basics of the game but when I read this I thought this is special move so I tried with press & release button. I knew I was mistaken about this topic but didn't know what it was until now.

Second, 4th player level makes sense. Because even if I would hold button, auto-positioning shouldn't work at rallies since my 4th player was always Incredible 10.
Anyway with updated game and knowing hold button works against lower levels, now everything is fine. :applause:
My player moves/positions herself when opponent use service, same against Beginner 1, Pro 10 and Incredible 10.
When rally (which is you mentioned at your original post) it only works against Beginner 1 but, does not work against Pro 10 and Incredible 10 as intended.

By the way it seems no need to release button between points etc. So, against lower levels I can set my keyboard to hold assigned "Fire 1" button and play whole match with only directing the ball before I shoot. I think this is a bit overpowered function but still good thing to have. (I know I can change the speed to make it less powered.)

hsngrms,
yes, a rock can literally beat the Beginner-10 level, by just putting it on the Alt key.
It has been like this for a long time in TE2013 (until I turn off the AutoPos trick during rallies, because it was an exploit in the online mode), and thus it was funny to see some people complaining the game was too hard, which means they were less dexterous than a rock. ':D

@manutoo

LOL what a comparison! :mrgreen:

I think I understand these people a bit, because it can be harder if the player always moves to wrong place, like running other side of the pitch after putting a slow shot so, even Beginner-10 can send back it to where it comes and -dang!- you can't go back to catch the ball in time. ':D

Hi, manutoo. Can you add bookmakers ratings/coefficients in game before matches? It will be interesting and funny to know who is underdog and favourite, how strong is the beast which you train or play versus. :)
