TE4; Set Auto positioning to fast when playing world tour

Postby fouadaslam » 16 Apr 2020, 00:01

Hi,
Is it possible to change/set auto positioning in world tour mode in TE4? I want to turn auto positioning to fast so as to be able to better return the CPU's serve.
I can change it in training mode but can't find the setting when playing the world tour. In world tour the auto positioning is slow (almost absent) causing me to miss a lot of easy service returns.
Thanks.
Best wishes,
Fouad

Hello,

ouch, I forgot to show it in the Character Sheet of the World Tour !

It'll be fixed in the next update, thanks to your report.

Meanwhile, you can change it when you see your match opponent : click on your player name on the top left to see your Character Sheet.

Hi Manutoo,
Thanks for the quick reply, as always. I'll try that.
Also I was trying to always have the sun on my back so I tried the TE2013 method of going to tennis.ini and setting force sun in the back to 1 but it doesn't stick despite saving the file. Any way to do that in TE4?
Thanks.
Kind regards,

Hi an update,
I checked and the force sun in back does stick when I use 2D background. It doesn't when 3D background is used.

If you mean that ForceSunInBack is reset to 0 in the Tennis.ini , I guess it means you saved the .ini while the game was still open. You should close the game 1st.

Else, if you have saved some camera modes and restore them, it could reset ForceSunInBack to 0. (ie: you have to save them when ForceSunInBack is set to 1)

Hi Thanks,
Regarding the game being open; I started TE4 > profiles > open data folder > tennis.ini > made the change and then saved the file >closed the game and started it again and it would stick in 2D courts but not in 3D.
I didn't save any camera modes so that can't be it.
Kind regards

You have to close the game before saving the file.

Hi Mr.Manutoo,

I would like to ask about world tour mode. Is the difficulty setting working in this mode? Against training, my opponents in the world tour seem very very difficult...

Thank you mike

mike,
yes. (except if there's some bg :fear:)
You can try to lower or raise it a lot to notice the difference.
