I have been experiencing major stuttering when the crowd claps.
During the game I have solid +130 fps, but when the crowd claps I get major stuttering...

I'd like to know if it's possible to keep the crowd on without animations.

Is it possible to disable crowd animations??

in your Tennis.ini, add this line under [3dEngine] : (HowTo => topic19-32161.php )
CrowdAnimation = 0

Hello, regarding this issue, I also suffered the fps drops when the public applauded, so I did the process that the developer recommended and it worked very well for me, the only difference was that the tennis.ini file did not work for me, I had to do it with the XKT.ini file that is in the profiles folder.

I have a Ryzen 3700X and a nVidia 3070.

Is there a config that can handle this ?

yes of course, it is already possible to disable it from the menu as manutoo says
Settings -> Video -> Advanced -> Crowd Animation
