I'm a big fan of Tennis Elbow 2013, played a lot. (i play on PC)
I bought TE4 very early, but never played much as it was not finished.
Last time I tried was one year ago, so i don't know how it changed/progressed. Last time i played it didn't give me the same pleasure as TE2013, so I didn't switch.

I come here from time to time to read the forum, and have some infos, but i'm not even sure if the game is finished yet. The version is 0.9X -> will you pass to 1.0 when you will consider you are not in an alpha version anymore ?

I mean , clarity and roadmap are important if you want people to buy and play.
Of course, once you get to a version you are happy with, you should do a trailer, and have maximum content on youtube : it will help a lot for the visibility. but not soon, it could be deceiptful.

Also, about modding, are there any big modes coming or do you think most of the work will start when the game is done ?

the game has not been in Alpha since June 2021 (or a bit earlier) : since then, TE4 had more features than TE2013.

If you meant Beta, then I consider it's not a Beta anymore since last September, which is when I switched to port the game to Xbox.

TE4 has been the tennis game the most played on PC in 2023, so it ain't in too bad shape...

The XKT Mod has been there for more than 2 years and already came to maturity more than 1 year ago, and has been refined more & more since then. It has been downloaded in-game more than 30'000 times and has more than 4'000 subscribers: https://mod.io/g/tennis-elbow-4/m/xkt .

I'm not sure when I'll slap a v1.0 tag on TE4 ; it may be next month as I'll fully release the game on Steam, but it's not sure ; I think showing a v0.95 will tell people they still can expect improvements and their feedback will be welcome to design them.

Edit: I asked about feature freeze after 1.0, but it says on the roadmap that there might be new features after v1.0, ignore my comment
