ComeonANDY!! wrote:Also, i am wanting to discuss Colombia's chances in the up and incoming World Cup with you in the Off Topics Thread! If the brilliant Falcao misses the tournament through injury, do you you still fancy your chances?

Falcao may recover before Brazil 2014, i think he'll do it because he has faith, i'm not religious, but Falcao is, and i think that may help him.
Colombia has many chances to pass 1st round, even without Falcao, we have many strikers :!: ( like Jackson, Gutiérrez, Bacca, (Rodallega  ))
We have also James Rodriguez, who is a great player too (& young :!: )

Yeah i agree with you that Colombia have some Excellent strikers but Falcao is a bit special. I hope he makes it and is match fit because i like to see the best players at the tournament. They are saying here in U.K land that Colombia will go deep and could even win it? Especially with it being in Brazil. What do you think?
England will do well to get out of their group with Italy and Uruguay in it :fear:

We will use this thread during the World Cup

Later Edit:
I always remember the Colombian legend that was Carlos Valderrama! Not only did he have great hair  He was a bloody brilliant player! 8-)

England has an awesome team, Colombia hasn't the names England has (Lampard, Rooney, Gerard, Hart, etc), but Colombia has that positive & happy energy of some players (like Armero).

Armero sometimes has too much energy & vigorosity, but he is amazing running.

In brazil we are ''local'', many colombians are going to travel to our matches. Hopefully, Costa Rica will qualify as 2nd of his group, and that is going to be our rival in 2nd Round  ':D

Now seriously, i think: if England pass as 1st & Colombia as 2nd, England wins, if Colombia pass as 1st & England as 2nd, Colombia wins.

ComeonANDY!! wrote:We will use this thread during the World Cup

That would be great

Carlos :?: EL PIBE :!:
But even more memorable:

The sad thing about this selection is: In 1990 WC higuita lost the ball with Roger Milla and we lost 2-1 with Cameroon in extra time (Sixteen round).

And in 1994 Higuita wasn't for the WC (legal problemas  ), and Pele predicted our team was going to win the WC after the 5-0 vs Argentina in Argentina in qualifiers

Total disaster, the team take it as a party, and they lost in 1st round (with an own goal of Andres Escobar, that sadly were killed after this :fear: ).

And we did nothing in 1998WC, last we qualified...... ':D

Knowing England's luck? Half of the team will get injured just before the Tournament starts! Rooney will probably break a metatarsal or something like he did a few years ago :banghead:
Also another problem we have? Is Uruguay's Luis Suarez will want to get his revenge on the English FA because of them giving him those long bans :spank:
So he'll be out to kick England's Ass. Italy are always strong at World Cups so it's a tough group for us :fear:

I had forgot about Higuita :thumbright: Another Colombian player who was brilliant! Was Faustino Asprilla, known to us as 'Tino',he was a bit of a loose cannon  But man! What a talent he was. I remember seeing him play a lot when he was at Newcastle United. Wow!!

Colombia is having bad luck currently, an important defender (Zuñiga) is injured. Most of our defenders are veterans (Yepes, Perea, Mosquera are +35)
Macnelly Torres, a good midfielder went to Arabia, and probably he won't play the World Cup (everybody has a price tag (8)) :annoyed:

    Suarez wants to bite some british arms
Italy is bad currently, Pirlo is going to be ''old'' & balotelli can't manage to handle all the team.

He was good until he met bar's (like Ronaldinho ':D )

Not exactly for the own goal, he was on a bad-reputation bar, and a crazy man entered and shoot him :fear:
(Old time Colombia  )

ComeonANDY!! wrote:What Club team do you support Nigogu?

There is a little team from ''Boyaca'' called ''Boyaca Chico'', i support them, their ''glorious'' year was 2008, when they won Colombian league, they played amazing:

The funny thing is: They fired in January their All-time coach ''Gamero'' that was there since they won the C league (Only colombian team to win C,B & A league).
And the president now coach the team, or they win, or they get fired  (And are getting better :fear: )

ComeonANDY!! wrote:And do you follow any European teams?

Some years ago (4 or 6) i was fan of: Barça, Inter & Chelsea, but then Messi scored a goal against colombia on qualifiers, so i became a Real Madrid supporter ':D
Then Ibrahimovic went from Inter to Barça and i was furious, because he went to Milan then :sad3:

I was sad when barça scored a last-second goal (Iniesta), to win over Chelsea in Champions SF of 2009 :cussing:
I cried in the 12/13 Champions cup with Chelsea, specially with Torres goal vs Barça & Drogba goal in the final
So, finally, i don't support Barça or Madrid, maybe Atletico because some Colombians were there ':D In italian soccer maybe Fiorentina (Cuadrado).....
I think my more stable support has been to Porto & Chelsea, Porto had Falcao, Rodriguez, Jackson, Quintero, and others
Like 7 years ago i got the Chelsea shirt (now i don't have it), but, it was great to have it
I was excited when rumors said Falcao were going to Chelsea

What team do you support :?: Maybe Manchester United and you won't talk me again :?: :fear:

I dont see spain in final nor brazil (brazil has biggest pressure)
