US Open 2015

Postby Sorana » 26 Aug 2015, 15:53

Who will rock last grand slam of the year?

-Is Sharapova able to win some matches in her first tournament after Wimbledon?
-Can Federer beat Djokovic again?
-QF match Roger vs Rafa or Nole vs Rafa
-Can Halep beat Serena here? (if she doesnt meet Lucic-Baroni in 1st 2 rounds :fear: )
-Bencic in semifinals?
a lot of question to ask, just say what do you think will happen in NY starting next week 8-)

BTW: I know you;re interested ,so Sorana just won her first round of qualifing  she plays against Vekic next  :bounce:

i think its time to federer but murray will be my second pick for us open .
i think djokovic cant play in god mode this whole tournament and he will lose before final when he met murray, nishikori or fed.nadal could surprise us this time.
i think last year champion marin cilic will lose till quarters but other croatians karlovic and coric would be dangerous for everyone.
i am not interested in girls tournament but i think it is williams serena again going to win it.

vekic is sexier so she will won ;)

Back to topic...

For the men's side, Djokovic is still the biggest favorite.

I doubt Federer can beat him in BO5. He couldn't do it on his supposedly best surface, grass. So I guess his chance of beating Djokovic is limited due to the lack of stamina and tournament condition.
But I wouldn't write him off as a serious title contender: he just needs a bit of help from Murray. A possible upset in a SF between Djokovic/Murray would give Federer a great chance in the final.

Ironic as it sounds, Nadal would be my pick for "dark horse". His form is decent and if he improves his game to 2014 level and gets a favorable draw, he could go deep here. Bear in mind he has reached at least final in his last three USO appearances (2010,2011,2013).

As for the women's side, obviously Williams would overpower other tiny girls...And not many ppl really care

For a Challenger level player perhaps.

I'm going with another surprise final and a new champ. Won't say who so I don't jinx anyone.

Djokovic is still favourite, my guess is that he gonna win, theres no chance to the others.
Federer cant handle a 5 sets, Murry is very inconsistent, my 2nd pick to win USO tho, but lower, lower chances, Nadal? 0% chances.
Maybe Stan have another shot for a big one, but after all my big and obvious pick is Djoko...oh, and Williams too.
I dont have any picks on WTA

I am really bothered of what's going to happen with WTA. I think people do care as it gives Serena a chance to win 5 slams in row. It's really a great milestone. However interest-wise WTA sucks. Its better to call it a Serena bitches Association. It's pathetic how all other women can't even put up a fight against her specially in slams. It's annoying. If I were a woman instead of beating her by tennis game, I would through my racquet on her and beat her :P At least it would save WTA :annoyed: No offense Serena fans, I'm kidding...But she has the most annoying ego. She has been a bully to WTA. I hope some woman rises her game and beats Serena. That would be some getting ':D
P.S. I don't think Serena is mentally that strong, it's just all the other women in WTA playing coward shit specially against her! :sad3: :angry7: :x

Hmmmm Nadal? I think Federer is eagerly waiting to play Nadal than ever because Nadal had never been in such stupid form for the time since he had first played him. I know Nadal has great H2H on Federer but till the next clay season I can't count him on beating Federer. Federer is ready to beat him at this moment. I would be surprised even if Nadal makes it to QF. I knew he would lose to Lopez at Cincinnati because he knows playing Federer in the next round hurts his confidence more than losing to Lopez :D But you can hope Nadal to do well at USO because its the slowest surface for the rest of the season.
P.S. Nadal rarely plays Federer when Federer is in his best form(except on clay)....hidden secret :angry1:

Serena isnt so unbeatable, I think on WTA are some players that can defeat her: Halep, Wozniacki,Kvitova, Ivanovic,Muguruza,Radwanska and Azarenka. But they might match a day to play Serena when her service is not that strong

True, but I am fed up with all those woman choking once it gets tight....its seems like they are way too coward and timid to challenge Serena in slams :fear:
